Wedding Photographs at Portmeirion...

Portmeirion occupies a magical peninsular setting, jutting into Tremadog Bay in North Wales. From this stunningly beautiful corner of the Wales comes the finest and imaginative piece of folly work in Britain.

This enchanting private village was created by visionary architect Clough Williams-Ellis between 1926 and 1976.

It was his dream and his vision that created this extraordinary fantasy town on the little peninsula between the estuaries of the Glaslyn and the Dwyryd. Williams-Ellis believed the site could be developed without spoiling its natural surroundings. He created a fantasy village incorporating elements of Italian and Gothic design set in 85 acres of beautiful woodland gardens overlooking a harbour.

It became famous as the fantasy backdrop for the cult 1960s British TV series The Prisoner. Surrounding the village on three sides are 145 acres of woods and farmland and the whole peninsula is gifted miles of sandy beaches.

Spring, summer, autumn or winter, the grounds and buildings within Portmeirion provides a unique and stunning backdrop for your wedding photographs.
